Disha College inaugurates 6 Days workshop for Training & Development for placement assistance 25th Nov to 30th Nov 2013

Disha College, Ramnagar Kota organize Training and Development Program for Placement Assistance from 25th November to 30th November to prepare students to face job interviews & Aptitude test. In this 6 days workshop, the eminent speakers are Mr. Nagesh Banchore, Mr. Anil Kalele, Mr. Shailendra Singh, Mr. Fazil, and Mr. Gagandeep Singh. Disha college students will learn skills such as psychometric analysis, resume writing, presentation skills, language proficiency, comprehension, company awareness, etc; so that students become completely industry-ready by the time, they complete their education.
T & D Program for placement assistance was inaugurated on 25 November 2013 in the gracious presence of Mr. Umesh Upadhyay Director DES, Ms Disha Jain Director DES, and Dr.A. K. Tiwari Principal DC, Mr. H.K. Dutta director Disha School, Mr. Karan Sahu principal Disha school and eminent speakers from different fields . In the inaugural speech, Mr. Upadhyay signifies some specific characteristics of today’s student. Dr. Tiwari highlighted that the human being is more seen as a resource to be developed and shaped according to the market demand, and education is not seen as self- realization and self- transcendence with maximum satisfaction to the individual and maximum benefit to the society. On the other hand, education has become a profit making business rather than a service to the society. Ms. Disha Jain in her motivational speech throws the light of awareness in students. Training is about gaining the skills needed for a job. Development is more about the individual – making him or her more efficient at a job or capable of facing different responsibilities and challenges.
All final year students from different streams registered themselves for the programme. All the faculty members of Disha College give their active contribution for the successful organization of programme.

Experts Speech in Disha College

In Training and Development Programme for Placement Assistance psychometric Test was conducted. Self analysis is important for an individual to understand himself or herself. A personality test is a questionnaire or other standardized instrument designed to reveal aspects of an individual's character or psychological makeup. Students of Disha College understand the meaning and importance of personality test in the first day session of training & development session of placement assistance. Psychometric test was conducted by Mr. Nagesh Banchore , one of the eminent faculty in this field. Personality Test will help the students to understand their strength and weakness. Based upon the results of the test they can decide a suitable career for them.
"Effective communication is two-way traffic. It implies firstly expressing yourself with clarity and secondly to listen actively to others in view of achieving clear understanding of the messages of both parties concerned”- with these words second day of placement assistance program started. Second day session was focused on the importance of communication in our life. Mr. Anil Kalele was the guest speaker for the session. During the session sir has given important tips to students for effective communication. The session was conducted for final year students. All the faculties of Disha college put their effort to make the program successful and effective for the students."

Mock Test Held in Disha College

Disha College students get aware with the tips and techniques of aptitude test followed by group discussion and personal interview in the third day session of Training and Development programme for placement assistance. Session start with the motivational speech by Dr. A. K. Tiwari Principal Disha College. Sir pointed that College is always determined for the betterment of students and we prepare them for corporate needs so that they can get a good job after completing their graduation or they can be evolve themselves as entrepreneurs that are the need of the hour.
A complete series of mock tests were conducted for the awareness of the students. The test gave the participants the chance to familiarize themselves with newly developed test content, to practice adapting the content for specific organizations and allowed them to practice their facilitation skills in general. Guest speaker for the session was Mr. Shailendra Singh, Aptitude test expert of the region. Mr. Singh is having 10 years of experience in the field of management. In his speech he quoted that aptitude and ability tests are designed to assess your logical reasoning or thinking performance. They consist of multiple choice questions and are administered under exam conditions & they are strictly timed. It tests the relative cognitive abilities of a candidate rather than knowledge of specific subject. More than 70 students participated in the written test. 40 were selected for the second round which consist Group discussion. Students participated very enthusiastically in GD as the topic was related with current affairs. "The workshop was very interactive; subject oriented students of the Disha College found the hands-on experience unique and reflected that they learnt of the test they have. That they got to meet and interact with people in the field was a big advantage, a sentiment echoed by other participants.

Designing career pathway of Disha College students

Disha College Ramnagar Kota conducted comprehensive six days Training and placement program for placement assistance. On the concluding day 30th November 2013 valedictory function was held which was addressed by Mr. Umesh Upadhyay Director DES, Ms. Disha Jain Director DES, and Dr. A. K. Tiwari Principal Disha College. The valedictory function was addressed by several resource persons who shared their experiences and gave their remarks on various sessions of the seminar they include Mr. Shailendra Singh, Mr. Gagandeep and Mr. Nagesh Banchore.
More than 90 students from various streams participated in this six days workshop. The workshop was designed for preparing the students for the upcoming corporate needs and to assist students to build, refresh or extend their skills. The first session started with Psychometric test and SWOT analysis taken by Mr. Nagesh Banchore. The second session was taken by Prof. Kalele for enhancing communication skills. Mr. Shailendra Singh and Mr. Rahul Roy took the third session which was divided in to three categories – Aptitude test, Group Discussion followed by personal interview. The fourth session was taken by Mr. Gagandeep Singh which was focused on various career opportunities in the present day scenario. The fifth session was very motivating and at the same time lively was taken by Mr. Fazil. He shared his expertise on personality and skill development with the student. The sixth session was about Resume witting and how to prepare effective power point presentation was taken by Mrs. A. Pooja Narayan and Mr. Nagendra Dewangan respectively.
The valedictory function was formally started with lamp lighting and there after the students was addressed by dignitaries. Miss Disha Jain motivated the students to move ahead with confidence in whatever career they choose. Mr. Upadhyay asked the students to dream and work hard to fulfill their dream. Success is not measured by how well you fulfill the expectations of others, but by how you honestly live up to your own expectations. Dr. Tiwari inspired the students with his words. He dwelt on various facets of the program. While giving the certificates to the participant Dr. Tiwari quoted that "Success is not a place at which one arrives but rather the spirit with which one undertakes and continues the journey. Because you have been true to yourself in the pursuit of your dream, you have earned this moment and the right to be proud of your accomplishments."
